Warehouse and Fulfillment

Cadmus offers both back copy fulfillment and post-bindery finishing services that are unmatched for quality and care. Our facility in Hurlock, Maryland is seamlessly integrated with each of the Cadmus print facilities but is also available to publishers that do not print with Cadmus. Because we have a full understanding of the product, our team possesses an unrivaled ability to effectively communicate with customers and printers to resolve or avoid any issues which may arise. The facility is 200,000 square feet with 30 foot high ceilings. It is protected by an ADT Focus 200 Plus system that is monitored on a 24-hour basis and inspected monthly.

Storage and Fulfillment

Our warehouse utilizes 175,000 square feet of steel racking with room for expansion. We currently store 83,000 SKUs and 11,800,000 pieces. We receive nearly 5.2 million pieces annually, and ship over 1.6 million pieces a year with a shipping accuracy of 99.7% and inventory accuracy of 99.2%.

Fulfillment is done expeditiously, accurately, and cost-effectively utilizing a web-based real-time inventory management system (RIMS) with built-in redundancy. RIMS is an interactive order entry system and offers our customers access to order entry, order tracking, and inventory data. The result is the ability to maintain tighter inventory controls by gaining control over the fulfillment process. Interfaces can be developed which will allow RIMS to accept order files directly and even return orders and inventory data if required. Fixed and customized reports are also available.

Finishing

Cadmus Hurlock also offers post-bindery finishing services for projects that require additional mechanical and/or manual production. From a single operation such as inserting, to complete kitting and assembly, we have a team that can handle all difficult and intricate project requirements.
